As one of my first coaches said, “We don’t learn alone. We learn in connection.”

Relationships are one of the most common challenges that come up in my coaching sessions. We learn through our business partners and collaborators, romantic partners and spouses, children and parents, friends and strangers. I often hear that life would be much easier if I were alone, single, worked by myself. It can feel hard to navigate relationships because there are so many factors that are happening within them.

If we have no formula for how to use them, the relationships use us.

We have experiences and traumas as children that get programmed and played out in adult life. We have emotions and reactions that get formed into beliefs and mindsets. We also have unconscious, multidimensional layers such as past life, karma, and ancestral lines that morph into what we identify as relationship.

The reason relationships are so rich for healing, learning, and growing is because we, consciously or unconsciously, tend to attract people to be the spiritual teacher in human form.

Sometimes we have to repeat the lesson again and again within different relationships. Sometimes we need to clear away past life or karmic ties through relationships in this lifetime. Sometimes we need to clear ancestral lines through our own relationship challenges. Other times we complete the karma through free will and shift into soul love.

There are all different types of relationships. Each relationship has their own energy, design, and purpose. In the realm of Spirit, relationships are an art, not a science. Often times we want to “figure it out”. We spin our wheels trying to change others, change ourselves, versus looking with love for the learning.

There is only love.

There is only learning.

The soul learns through love.

Relationships give us the love learning.
